Piga Picha

1st picture: Sunset view from terrace

2nd picture: My house from the top of the water tower next to my house (the highest point for miles). The courtyard is painted with banana trees, my choo (toilet room), bafu (bucket bath room), and two storage rooms are to the right of the courtyard, to the left is my house, and to the left of that is my terrace.

3rd picture: View of the main street in my village from the water tower. The first small building is the basi stendi (bus stand-bus leaves for town at 7am everymorning and returns at 4:30 p.m.). Most of the buildings in town are churches and public offices as most of the villagers live on the hillsides on the outskirts of center.

4th picture: Me preparing my garden in front of my terrace...sporting a nice '80s dress that I bought for 1500 shillingi (under a dollar fifty). Women do not wear pants in my village...or most of Tanzania...

5th picture: Another sunset view from terrace...I can't help myself.

Greta, it is absolutely beautiful!!! And you are rockin' that 80s dress, all 80s dresses should be worn with a straw cowboy hat while weilding a giant axe. More pics please!

Wow. Just found your blog and I'm glad I did because I was sorely in need of a new desktop background. Although the windows xp logo is very enticing. And so, I second Ellie, more pics please! Pretty amazing. Which building is the Starbucks? And Ellie that is clearly a hoe, and not an axe or even pick axe. I'll give you a pass on the giant part, although undeservedly so. Be safe Greta.
